RockBee Design TypeFoundry

Type foundry — sounds nice! Foundry itself was established in 2011, since my fonts became available at MyFonts website :-). Fonts are available under basic/default EULA (End User Licence Agreement). Pricing is moderate; some fonts are even distributed for free (Naftalin).

General information about my fonts and foundry

First fonts came out in 2007-2009, and were created mostly for various corporate identities or even based on some logotypes I worked at that time.

First typefaces were created as experiments or tests, name it as you'd like to. I thought of creating logotypes, created them and pretty quickly I've realized that creating typefaces is essential and necessary for creating good logos and corporate identities. Knowing and feeling typefaces is extremely important for good typography. And typography is the base for every visual communication (I mean, all kinds of graphic design).

RB Monsters

This typeface was drawn to create short headlines (quickly) for one of my projects (a set of illustrations featuring The Evil Rat, imagined character). Each character (here I mean "glyph") has it's own personality, mostly evil one (jokingly) — that is why the font is called "The Monsters". The font was drawn on paper, then scsnned and traced. It has both Latin and Cyrillic sets, since it was used with both.

RB Steel

Steel is my favorite typeface for now.
